12 October 2026. These terms govern the Manai Ger preview. The operating legal entity will be named here before real orders open.
1. Purpose
Manai Ger / Манай Гэр is a marketplace that puts herders, growers and makers in touch with members. A member orders online and collects at a fixed pickup point. The platform does not buy to resell. The sale is concluded between the producer and the member. Manai Ger provides the accounts, the payment, the weekly sale window and the organisation of distribution day.
2. Definitions
- Member — a person who orders and collects at a pickup point.
- Producer — a herder, grower or artisan. They set their price, their weekly minimum and their stock. They sell what they make, produced in Mongolia.
- Host / pickup point — a ger, a khoroo local, or a corner in an independent shop. The host runs distribution day. They do not buy the goods.
- Independent shop — a shop in Ulaanbaatar that is not a chain or a franchise. It may rent a small space to offer only products made in Mongolia by herders and artisans, and it works as a pickup point.
- Driver — takes goods from the producer to the pickup point. Never to the member's home. Working space: the driver desk.
- Governor — presents their aimag on film and in their own words, and invites herders and artisans to sign up. We do not invent a name, a quote or a film. Working space: the aimag office.
- Platform — the Manai Ger website and service.
3. Acceptance
Using the site or creating an account means you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. Partial acceptance is void.
4. Accounts
One account carries one role (member, host, producer, driver or governor). You give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You must be of legal age to enter a contract. You may close your account by writing to us. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or harms other people on the platform.
5. The weekly sale
Each pickup point runs a timed sale. You order while it is open. You are not charged until it closes. At closing, the platform looks at each producer on their own:
- If that producer's minimum is reached, their lines are confirmed. They will come, or a driver will.
- If it is not reached, those lines are cancelled and you are not charged for them. The producer has 24 hours to accept the trip anyway (useful when a point is young).
- The rest of your basket stands.
Confirmation of a line is the contract of sale between you and that producer. Manai Ger is the intermediary for the platform, payment and pickup. After closing, a confirmed line cannot be cancelled at will: the food has been prepared for you.
6. Prices and the split
The producer sets the price. The price you see is what you pay (100 %). The acted split is:
- Producer 70 %, host 10 %, driver 10 %, platform 10 %.
- If the producer delivers themselves: producer 80 %, host 10 %, platform 10 %, driver 0 %.
The host and the platform do not add a hidden markup on top. Demo payment. QPay (the usual Mongolian pay) will take the real payment when the merchant account is live.
7. Pickup — no home delivery
Manai Ger does not deliver to the home. You collect at the pickup point you ordered from, on its distribution day and time, shown on your order, with a short code (MG-xxxxx). A pickup point is a ger, a khoroo local, or a corner in an independent shop. Please collect on time: fresh food is prepared specifically for your order.
8. Transport: only when there are enough orders
The driver goes from the producer to the pickup point. That is the whole trip. They do not go on to the member's door.
The trip exists only if that producer's weekly minimum is reached. Below the minimum, those lines are cancelled, nobody is charged, and nobody drives for nothing. When several producers at the same point say yes, one driver can group the drop. A producer may choose “I deliver myself”; then the driver share is zero and the member still pays 100 % under the self-delivery split above.
A driver claims a trip on the driver desk: picked up at the producer, delivered at the point. Grouped transport to the point, never home delivery, never a trip under the minimum.
9. Independent shops in Ulaanbaatar
An independent shop that is not a chain and not a franchise may rent a small corner on Manai Ger. The corner is a pickup point, not a supermarket aisle of mixed brands.
- Only products made in Mongolia, by named herders and artisans on the platform.
- No imported goods, no wholesale resale, no products from a chain's central warehouse.
- The shop does not buy the stock. Members order online during the weekly window and collect on distribution day, as at a ger.
- The host of the shop is paid the host share. The same weekly minimum applies: if a producer does not reach it, that producer does not come.
Opening a corner starts from host a pickup. Chains and franchises are refused.
10. Hosts
The host finds a place, sets the day and hours, selects offers, welcomes members on distribution day and hands over the orders. They do not purchase the goods. They keep the place clean and keep a regular sale. Their working space on the site is My pickup point.
11. Producers
You sell what you produce. You set your price, your minimum per point, and the stock for that sale. You prepare exactly the confirmed quantities. Quality, labelling and Mongolian food rules are yours. Buying from a wholesaler to resell here is not allowed. A small share of transformed goods bought directly from another named producer may be discussed with the host; it stays exceptional.
You choose, for each confirmed sale, whether you bring the goods yourself or you ask for a driver. The trip is owed only if your minimum is met.
12. Members
No subscription and no personal minimum. You may skip a week. You pay only confirmed lines. You collect at your point during the slot. A product that was prepared and that you did not collect is not automatically refunded: the producer made the trip. Tell the host early if you cannot come; we look for a fair hold or a next-cycle solution where we can. Quality issues are raised on the spot, then in writing.
13. Governors
Each aimag page has a reserved space for the governor (засаг дарга) to present the territory: a word, a video, then the products of that province. We do not invent names, quotes or films. The administration sends its own material from the aimag office: a YouTube link of their own film, a welcome, and a tracked sign-up link to send to herders and artisans they already know. The first published office for a territory is the one shown.
14. Cancellation and refunds
The detail is in the cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: no charge before closing; automatic cancellation under a producer's minimum; refund of a line cancelled on our side; missed pickup is not a guaranteed refund; quality complaints through the host and the contact page.
15. Acceptable use and content
Do not misuse the service, scrape it abusively, or use it for anything unlawful. Producer and host content is published under their responsibility. Catalogue data during the preview includes realistic sample families and points, marked as such, used to build the service. Real offers replace them as the network goes live.
16. Intellectual property
The Manai Ger name, design, text and original illustrations belong to the project. Product photos and producer stories belong to the producers concerned. You may not copy the site to run a competing service.
17. Personal data
We keep what an account and an order need. We do not sell personal data. See the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
18. Liability
We run the platform. The producer is responsible for the product. The host is responsible for the handover at the point. During the preview the service is provided as is. We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control (weather, dzud, road closure, payment-network failure). Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
19. Changes and law
We may update these terms as the service grows. Material changes are shown before they apply. The market is Mongolia. The operating legal entity, the governing law and the competent courts will be stated in the legal notice before commercial launch. Questions: the contact page.
