Since 1206, the Nine White Banners (Есөн хөлт цагаан туг) have stood for the Mongolian state at peace: nine standards of white horsehair, kept today in the Government Palace and carried out with honour to open Naadam. Manai Ger stands under them - every product here comes from the territories they watch over.
